Celebrating 25 years of ZEE!

Celebrating 25 years of ZEE!

The pioneer satellite channel in India, ZEE turned 25 recently. And to commemorate this landmark, the ZEE family threw a lavish party at the Four Seasons in Worli on Saturday, January 13. The red carpet saw top-notch politicians rub shoulders with the who’s who of Indian showbiz; not to forget some heavyweights from the corporate world, who also lent their presence to the glittering gala.

Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra, wife Sushila Goenka, and their two sons, Punit Goenka, MD & CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), and Amit Goenka, CEO — International Broadcast Business, ZEEL, greeted their guests. Their wives, Shreyasi and Navyata, graciously welcomed the celebrities, who had marked this date on their calendars, weeks in advance.

As is his practice, Indian cinema icon, Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first to walk in and extend his greetings to Subhash Chandra. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis followed almost immediately after, accompanied by his pretty wife Amruta. Before you knew it, the night was rocking. Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar looked sharp in suits, while Aamir Khan made casuals look cool in black trousers and a matching full-sleeved tee.

Living up to his hatke image was Ranveer Singh sporting a purple velvet suit. A photographer’s delight, he gave the shutterbugs enough reason to go click-click. Deepika Padukone chose a black net sari for the evening, while Kangana Ranaut made heads turn in a stunning white gown. Sridevi looked slimmer than usual in a shimmery jumpsuit, while her husband Boney Kapoor stayed put by her side like a solid rock.

Politicos Praful Patel and Amar Singh were spotted chatting with corporate honchos Venugopal Dhoot and NP Singh among others.

Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, Karan Johar, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra lent their dignified presence to what can only be described as one of the most memorable bashes to be hosted by a media conglomerate. This truly was a night to remember!
